Some projects start with a business plan. Tangram Holo started with two kids who really liked video games.
Yavor and Philip met in school when Yavor was in 6th grade and Philip was in 5th. We started building small games together, experimented with websites and tools, and eventually tried building something for Twitch. One of those projects even made it close to release before Amazon rejected it, only for Twitch to launch something very similar a few weeks later.
Looking back, those early projects weren’t really about the products themselves. They were about learning how much we enjoyed building things together.

Then AI Changed the Game
When the first major wave of AI tools started taking off in the early 2020s, we started thinking about what we could build with them. The idea was simple: what if anyone could turn an idea into a video?
That became Tangram Holo.
The name came from the Tangram puzzle — several individual pieces that can be arranged to create a complete picture. “Holo” is short for holographic. The idea was to bring all the different pieces of AI video creation together into one experience.
The first version was extremely basic. There wasn’t even a proper UI. Yavor would come up with an idea, we’d generate the video, and it would arrive by email. There was almost no control over the output beyond the original concept.
But people started watching.
That attention gave us enough reason to keep going, and eventually we built a real platform and opened it up to users. Thousands of people began experimenting with it, giving us feedback that helped shape what Tangram Holo would eventually become.
Building the Tangram Holo We Have Today
The biggest change came from realizing that AI video creation wasn’t about finding one model that could do everything. It was about putting the right technologies together and making them work as one creative workflow.
We spent years testing different image models, text-to-speech systems, animation technologies, music generation, and different ways of combining them. Earlier versions of Tangram Holo were largely based around narrated videos and generated images. Today, the platform is built around a much more advanced approach to AI video creation.
Modern Tangram Holo combines advanced image generation, text-to-speech, image-to-video animation, AI-generated background music, and specialized AI agents that coordinate different parts of the process.
The goal isn’t simply to give creators access to more models.
It’s to make all of that technology useful without requiring them to understand how everything works underneath.

We Wanted the Hassle to Disappear
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that powerful AI is only useful if people can actually use it.
Creators shouldn’t need to know which model is best for a particular scene, how to write the perfect prompt, or how to manually coordinate image generation, animation, voice, music, and editing.
They should be able to explain what they want and let the technology handle the complicated parts.
That’s why Tangram Holo uses specialized AI agents behind the scenes. Different agents can handle different parts of the creative process, prepare the right instructions, and coordinate the models needed to bring a video together.
The technology gets more complicated. The experience gets simpler. And that’s exactly how we want it.
Then Came Shipaton 2026
While we were continuing to develop Tangram Holo, we discovered RevenueCat’s Shipaton 2026.
That changed our timeline.
We had already been thinking about bringing Tangram Holo to mobile, but we expected that process to take considerably longer. Shipaton gave us something we didn’t have before: a reason and a deadline to make it happen.
Instead of continuing to talk about a mobile version, we had to ask ourselves a much simpler question:
What if we just shipped it?
So we did.
Shipaton Pushed Us to Build for Mobile
Shipaton became a catalyst for one of the biggest steps we’ve taken with Tangram Holo.
We pushed development toward iOS and Android and started turning the experience we had built for the web into something people could use directly from their phones.
That meant more than adapting screens to a smaller display. It meant thinking about how video creation should work when the device is always with you and ideas can happen anywhere.
We wanted someone to be able to open Tangram Holo on their phone, have an idea, and start turning it into something real without needing to wait until they’re back at a computer.
The hackathon helped us move that idea from “something we’d like to build” to something we were actually shipping.

RevenueCat Helped Us Move Faster
One of the biggest challenges with launching a mobile app is everything that happens around the app itself.
Payments, subscriptions, in-app purchases, store requirements, and platform-specific infrastructure can quickly become a major development project of their own.
RevenueCat helped us simplify that part.
By integrating RevenueCat into the mobile experience, we could handle in-app purchases across the major mobile platforms without having to build all of that infrastructure from scratch. That gave us more time to focus on the part we actually cared about: building Tangram Holo.
For a small team, that difference matters.
Every week spent solving infrastructure problems is a week that isn’t spent improving the creative experience.
RevenueCat helped us move faster, and that played a big part in getting Tangram Holo into the hands of mobile users much earlier than we originally expected.
A New Way to Think About AI Video Creation
Bringing Tangram Holo to mobile also reinforced something we’ve believed since the beginning.
Creativity doesn’t happen at a desk.
An idea can appear while you’re traveling, walking somewhere, waiting for an appointment, or lying in bed at two in the morning.
Why should creating something with that idea require you to wait until you’re back at your computer?
With Tangram Holo on mobile, the goal is to make the entire creative process more accessible wherever inspiration happens.
You can start with an idea, bring in your own material, experiment with different visuals and styles, and begin turning it into a video directly from your phone.
That’s a much bigger step for us than simply releasing another version of the product.
It’s about making AI video creation available wherever creators are.

From Experiments to Something Much Bigger
When we look at Tangram Holo today, it feels very different from where we started.
The early experiments were small. The technology was limited. We were figuring things out as we went.
Now we’re working with advanced AI models across the entire video creation process, from images and voices to animation, music, editing, and the AI agents that connect everything together.
And now, because of Shipaton, that experience is moving beyond the browser and onto mobile devices too.
The technology keeps changing, but the goal hasn’t.
We still want to make it easier for people to take an idea and turn it into something visual, engaging, and real.
What’s Next for Tangram Holo?
That’s the exciting part.
There are constantly new AI models to test, new creative workflows to explore, and new ways we can make video creation easier.
The mobile launch opened another door, and Shipaton gave us the push to walk through it much sooner than we expected.
We’re still building.
Still experimenting.
Still putting the pieces together.
And maybe that’s the most fitting part of the Tangram Holo name after all.
The pieces keep changing.
We’re just getting better at putting them together.
